Sho’aríshon Park
A civic landscape that honours history, engages the community, and creates a place for reflection, learning, and connection.
Sho’aríshon Park in Jordan Hollow is a public space designed for gathering, learning, and reflection. Rooted in the land’s history, the park honours the Neutral Nation and connects visitors to Twenty Mile Creek through culturally and ecologically significant design elements.
The park features interpretive signage, public art, a native species rain garden, and a modern longhouse interpretation that reflects historic scale while blending traditional inspiration with contemporary materials. A new pedestrian bridge integrates Indigenous artwork, creating a pathway that guides visitors through stories, culture, and landscape.
Every element was guided by curiosity, collaboration, and care, creating a meaningful civic space where community, ceremony, and everyday interaction can flourish.
